THREE-ELEMENT METAL COLLOID HAVING THREE-LAYER CORE/SHELL STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SUCH THREE-ELEMENT METAL COLLOID

A three-element metal colloid is disclosed which contains metal nanoparticles which are composed of three different metal species and have a three-layer core/shell structure. A method for preparing such a three-element metal colloid is also disclosed. This metal colloid can be prepared by mixing a metal colloid containing metal nanoparticles which are composed of two kinds of metal species and have a core/shell structure with a metal colloid containing metal nanoparticles composed of a metal species which is different from the above-mentioned two metal species. A catalyst produced from the metal colloid prepared by this method exhibits extremely high catalytic activity.
