PURPOSE: An apparatus for locking and unlocking a door by using an infrared remote controller is provided to enhance the reliability by using the infrared remote controller to lock and lock the door. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer(B1) includes an internal memory or an external memory. An infrared receiver(B2) is installed at an inner part and an outer part of a door in order to lock or unlock the door. An alarm unit(B3) is operated when the door is locked or unlocked by the infrared receiver, the infrared receiver receives a wrong signal, and a motor(B6) is not operated according to a locking signal and an unlocking signal. A motor unit is formed with the motor, a motor driver(B7), and a motor rotation sensor(B4). An auxiliary battery terminal(B5) is used as an emergent battery terminal when a battery is discharged. A number input unit(B8) registers a secret number into a memory of an infrared remote controller.
