<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a department management system for an image forming device capable of automatically recognizing a department of an output requiring destination for managing it and capable of performing fee charging management according to the output. <P>SOLUTION: In this department management system, to which data input devices such as host computers 2a-2c are connected via a network 1, for the image forming device 3, a data input device has a function for adding data input device identification information constructed of an IP address or a computer name to image formation information.
