摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric element forming member capable of reducing the size of a head while enhancing the manufacturing efficiency, and to provide a piezoelectric element forming unit, a piezoelectric element unit and a liquid ejection head. <P>SOLUTION: As external electrodes, a discrete external electrode 22 being connected with a discrete internal electrode on the end surface on one end part side and a common external electrode 21 being connected with a common internal electrode at least on the end surface on the other end part side are provided independently. On the surface on one side of a piezoelectric element forming member 13, the common external electrode 21 is provided continuously from the end surface on the other end part side at least in the regions close to both corner parts on the other end part side. On the other hand, the discrete external electrode 22 is provided continuously from the end surface on one end part side to a region partially overlapping the common external electrode 21 in the forming direction of slit between the regions close to both corner parts while leaving an electrode nonforming part 24 where the external electrode is not formed on the other end part side of the discrete external electrode 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
