PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide a WDM filter module which is easily assembled and with a low loss. SOLUTION: The filter module is provided with a collimator lens using a graded index GRIN lens, a pair of optical fibers which are connected to the collimator lens on one end surface in such a manner that optical axes of both the optical fibers become symmetrical and parallel to the optical axis of the collimator lens on one end surface of the collimator lens and a dielectric multilayer film filter chip which is arranged in the vicinity within 0-1 mm from the other end surface of the collimator. Therein, the dielectric multilayer film filter chip is arranged in such a manner that the center of the dielectric multilayer film filter chip goes on the same straight line as that of the optical axis of the collimator lens, a cylindrical tube terrace made by integrating a cylindrical tube and a terrace block into one body is fixed to the collimator lens and the dielectric multilayer film filter chip is fixed to the cylindrical tube terrace.
