PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent indentation in the surface of a skin layer in a manufacturing method for a composite formed body of which the skin material having a foamed layer stacked thereon is joined to a base. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the composite formed body wherein a powder resin containing a foaming agent is filled on the surface of a layer (a) and heated to form a layer (b), the surface of the layer (b) on the side opposite to the surface being in contact with the layer (a) is made smooth under a load after the heat foaming. Herein the layer (a) is a thermoplastic elastomer composition layer containing an olefin resin and a styrene thermoplastic elastomer and the layer (b) is a resin foam layer. The manufacturing method of this composite formed body comprises processes (i), (ii) and (iii). In the process (i), the powder resin containing the foaming agent is filled on the surface of the layer (a) and heated to form the layer (b). In the process (ii), the surface of the layer (b) to be joined with a base layer is made smooth under the load, and in the process (iii), the surface of the layer (b) is joined with the base layer.
