PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the driving force of a cartridge when ink is supplied while reducing the size of a recorder. SOLUTION: Rotating force receiving parts 3 are formed, respectively, on the first side face 10a and the second side face 10b of an ink cartridge 10 and the side face 10c thereof arranged with a joint 13. The rotating force receiving parts 3 are located diagonally when the ink cartridge 10 is viewed from the side face with respect to the central axis of rotation 100. The ink cartridge 10 contained in an ink cartridge containing section 35 rotates about the central axis of rotation 100 by receiving a rotating force from the rotating force acting part 4 of the ink cartridge containing section 35 at the rotating force receiving parts 3.
