PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which can stabilize an image quality of recording images by making an ink viscosity constant, and to provide an image recording method. SOLUTION: The image recording device has ink channels formed in each inside of an ink tank, recording heads 4 and 4, and supply pipes. Warm water passages 12, 42, 52 and 62 for circulating warm water are set near at least a part of the ink channels. Moreover, temperature sensors 36a and 36b for detecting an ink temperature in the ink channels are set at least at two or more points in the ink channels. A control part 30 is set for controlling at least either a temperature or a flow rate of the warm water circulated in the warm water passages 12, 42, 52 and 62 in accordance with a temperature difference of temperatures detected by the temperature sensors 36a and 36b.
