PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a light diffusion layer which has excellent film property (film uniformity and flexure resistance) and superior light diffusivity. SOLUTION: In the method for forming the light diffusion layer, the light diffusion layer having a fine uneven structure is formed on a surface of a base material by jetting ink drops containing a light diffusivity imparting composition forming the fine uneven structure by an ink jet system while the capacity of the ink drops is controlled.
