PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drivability and to reduce power consumption with respect to a display device such as a plasma display. SOLUTION: An address electrode driving circuit 4a included in a plasma display panel display device is constituted of a driving pulse generation circuit 9 and a plurality of address electrode driving parts 10a<SB>1</SB>to 10a<SB>n</SB>. In each of the address electrode driving parts 10a<SB>1</SB>to 10a<SB>n</SB>, a latch 16 latches a preceding pulse outputted from a latch 12 and inputs the latched pulse and a new pulse outputted from the latch to an EXCLUSIVE-OR circuit 18, and only when these pulses are different from each other, a driving pulse /ACL is outputted from a NOT-AND circuit 19. When an output from a shift register 11 is not changed like from a Hi signal to a Hi signal or a Lo signal to a Lo signal, the driving pulse /ACL is not outputted, so that the consumption of useless driving currents can be prevented.
