PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hairdressing cosmetic usable for consumers worrying about their thin hair in a sense of a hairdressing preparation, easily giving the whole hair firmness or firm texture, and affording the hair with voluminous feeling or hair-increased feeling to look at. SOLUTION: This hairdressing cosmetic contains solid resin fibers and a water-soluble resin. The cosmetic works as follows: The solid resin fibers are made to adhere to the hair followed by coating the resultant hair with the water-soluble resin, thus enabling the whole hair to be easily afforded with firmness or firm texture, affording the hair with voluminous feeling or hair-increased feeling to look at. In this cosmetic, the solid resin fibers are preferably one or more kinds selected from nylon fibers, rayon fibers, tetrafluoroethylene resin fibers, perfluoroalkoxy resin fibers, fluoroethylene-propylene resin fibers, cellulose fibers, wool fibers and hemp fibers.
