PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular heating system capable of omitting a water pump exclusive for heating while a vehicle is stopped, and reducing the power consumption required by the heating while the vehicle is stopped. SOLUTION: The vehicular heating system comprises a heat exchanger 105 for heating, a circulation passage 114 to circulate cooling water via the heat exchanger 105 for heating, a combustion type heater 107, a water pump 101 independently operable from an engine 100, a bypass passage 113 to bypass a cooling water circulation unit 115 in the engine 100, and a control valve 110 to change the flow of cooling water between via the cooling water circulation unit 115 and via the bypass passage 113. While the engine 100 is operated, the water pump 101 is operated, cooling water is circulated via the cooling water circulation unit 115, the water pump 101 is operated while the engine 100 is stopped, the combustion type heater 107 is operated, and cooling water is circulated via the bypass passage 113.
