PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the strength of a main body and to improve the attaching and detaching property of a dust collection part in a vacuum cleaner provided with the detachable dust collection part. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a main body 7 which includes an electric blower 12 generating suction air and the dust collection part 11 collecting sucked dust and formed of visible material. When the dust collection part 11 is housed in the main body 7, an engaging part A36 included in the main body 7 connected with an engaging part B37 included in the the dust collection part 11. At least a part of the outer shell of the main body 7 opposing the dust collection part 11 is formed of visible material.
