<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester container of a substantially single layer, which is heat-resistant and rigid and has gas barrier properties because of being generally crystalline, and also is excellent in heat sealability. <P>SOLUTION: The crystalline polyester container consists of a recessed part for storing contents made of a polyester sheet of substantially single layer, and a flange part present on the periphery of the recessed part. The recessed part is generally crystalline, but at least the upper surface layer of the flange part is amorphous or of a low crystalline nature. The container is manufactured by drawing by the use of a metal mold for partially cooling the flange part and heating the recessed part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
