<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that host names overlap when there are no server for managing the host names. <P>SOLUTION: Equipment 3 has a default candidate host name. The equipment 3 acquires the host name of equipment 2 existing in a link local network 1 other then the equipment 3. The equipment 3 uses the default candidate host name as a candidate host name and sets the candidate host name as the host name when the acquired host name does not overlap with the candidate host name of the equipment 3.
