PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which the thickness of the device is reduced and especially the weight of the device is reduced. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a frame 18, an optical pickup module 19 which is fixed to the frame 18 and a circuit board 23 which forms a control circuit fixed to the frame 18. The constituting parts of the optical disk device including a braking means 28 are fixed to the frame 18 without using a housing. Thus, the thickness and the weight of the optical disk device are greatly reduced and the thickness and the weight of an electronic equipment main body are also reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
