PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal controller that detects erroneous lighting of a signal lamp apparatus of various patterns for indicating an abnormal condition by flashing the lamp apparatus. SOLUTION: Lighting data 6 from a present signal indication storage part 5 storing the lighting data about a signal lamp in the signal lamp apparatus 10 for each address, lighting data 16 from a master present signal indication storage part 15 storing lighting data about the signal lamp in the signal lamp apparatus 10 for each step number of a previously set lighting pattern, and a lighting condition detection signal 9 for the signal lamp apparatus 10 from a lamp switch part 7 are inputted. The lighting conditions of the signal lamp apparatus based on these data are compared one another, and if disagreement is detected, a predetermined sinal lamp is flashed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
