PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly correct a time with simple constitution. SOLUTION: In this electronic time piece, an operation detecting means 40 outputs a signal S of correcting the time to a control means 32, when operating a winding crown. The control means 32 drives therein a step motor 10 with a high frequency of quick forwarding pulse to operate quick-forwardingly a second hand. Waiting until the second hand comes to the 12:00 position at a usual needle operation speed is not required thereby to shorten a time required for the time correction, by quick-forwarding the second hand just before the 12:00 position, and by stopping it thereafter to re-operate the needle by the usual needle operation. A special member is not required to be provided newly, and the constitution is simplified, since the step motor 10 is provided by only one and since the quick forwarding operation is executed by the crown.
