PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscometer which can guarantee high-precision viscosity measurement by protecting a probe from external forces. SOLUTION: The viscometer is provided with a pair of probes 10 which are similar in shape and soaked into an object to be measured for its viscosity when measuring viscosity. The probes 10 are hung down from the viscometer 12 and a sensor cover 13 to cover the top part of the probes is also hung on the one end side of the viscometer 12. The viscometer is also provided with a protector 14 which is projected under the probes 10 to protect the probes 10 from external forces. The protector 14 is provided with a bottom part 14a, and a pair of side walls 14b which are hung down from the bottom part 14a so as to form a concave shape when viewed from the front side of the protector 14. The protector 14 is freely detachably connected to the viscometer 12 through the sensor cover 13 in an embodiment of the present invention. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
