PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the corrosion resistant properties of painting used actually in a short period of time even in the case of a heavy painting, and also to make it applicable to the solution of a corrosion mechanism. SOLUTION: By measuring the surface potential of a paint film, the behavior of a potential change is detected, new paint film damage and corrosion damage under the paint film are monitored to evaluate the corrosion properties of the paint film.
