PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a problem wherein an engine stall occurs before gas cylinder replacement after a residual amount alarm is given. SOLUTION: When an initial setting switch 8 is turned on after an LPG cylinder is exchanged, the data detected by a temperature sensor 2 and a pressure sensor 3 is inputted into a CPU 15 in a controller 10. On the basis of this data, the CPU 15 discriminates compositions of fuel from correlation characteristics of temperature and pressure by the composition of the fuel, which are stored in a composition discriminating function storage section 11, and judges alarm pressure corresponding to the compositions discriminated from the data stored in an alarm pressure storage section 12. When the pressure is the alarm pressure or less, the residual amount alarm is displayed on a display 20. Further, after the residual amount alarm, a rotating speed of a stepping motor 9a is determined on the basis of the data of a passage area storage section 13 so that a main passage of an LPG carburetor has an area large enough to allow a vehicle at least to travel, and a command is given to a motor control section 14. A fuel flow rate in the main passage is adjusted by driving the stepping motor 9a at a predetermined rotating speed and projecting a power adjustment screw 9 into the main passage by a predetermined rate.
