PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method of manufacturing a volatile chemical-containing unit for simplifying a process in manufacturing an aromatic, a deodorant and insect repellant perfume, etc. which are prepared by impregnating a base material with perfume, insect repellant, insecticide, and a volatile chemical, facilitating process management, improving manufacture efficiency, preventing foreign matters from being mixed into products and reducing the loss of the volatile chemical, and the the volatile chemical-containing unit obtained by the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic elastomer molding, especially a molding 5 mainly composed of styrene based thermoplastic elastomer and a liquid volatile chemical 6 are housed and tightly sealed inside a container, in particular a package container 1 for sale in a coexisting state.
