HOUSING FOR A PORTABLE WIRELESS SURVEILLANCE CAMERA WITH LOW-COST PAN AND TILT MECHANISMS

Housing for a small wireless surveillance camera (fig. 1) with a simple low cost method of pan and tilt mechanism. The housing (4)is a closed element with one or more motors (1). The pan and tilt mechanisms make the housing (4) move to the appropriate directions under wireless remote control of the user. Pan motion is achived by rotating the housing (4) around its point of contact utilizing mechanical law of the torque that angular acceleration creates. Tilt motion is createdby changinging the location of the center of gravity and moving it back or forth respectively. By using these basic laws of mechanics, the small camera housing (4) can be rotated slowly and in small steps until the desired point of view is achieved.
