<p>The engine flywheel (60) forms part of a clutch assembly (10) and has a pressure plate support system. The friction clutch has a ring-shaped baseplate (14) with projecting tongues (16) at its outer circumference. The tongues are each bent (50) through a right-angle and have side edges which are curled inward (54,56). The ends of the tongues (62) come into contact with the flywheel and a rim (58) with bores (64) fastened to the edge of the flywheel. There are openings (18) in the roots of the tongues to accommodate fastening bolts.</p>
