Automotive audio digital music player (PL) has operating elements for selection of music tracks and a display element (A) for output of information relating to music tracks. The player has electrical data interfaces for connection to external storage media in external portable music players, whereby the player recognizes the file system of the external storage medium and so can play music stored on it and display stored play lists.
