The equipment has a housing with two housing sections (2, 3), where a transmitter and receiver device (4) is mounted on a mounting section (5). The mounting section is firmly clamped between the housing sections. A set of fixing brackets (9) are provided to provide a detachable clamp-connection between the housing and mounting sections. The brackets are attached along an outer circumference of the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a radar equipment for a motor vehicle.
