<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage case consisting of a case body and an open/close lid for receiving a CD, a DVD or other recording media, which are stably locked, is simple to open/close, and is excellent in durability. <P>SOLUTION: The storage case of a recording medium has engaging portions to engage with each other on side rims 11 and 12 of the case body 1 and the lid 2, and is equipped with a button 5 where a portion of the side rim 11 of the case body 1 is notched. The button 5 has an arm 6 extending, and its tip comes into contact or proximity with the internal surface 14 of the closed lid, and the button 5 is swingable. The lid does not open by itself as it is locked by the engagement of the engaging portions formed on the side rim of the case body and the side rim of the lid.
