<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable portable terminal device which has one enclosure prevented from being turned by a user in a direction in which one enclosure is not permitted to turn, in order to prevent the disconnection of wires in a coupling part and breakdown of the coupling part and its vicinity, which are caused by user's erroneously turning one enclosure to the other enclosure beyond a prescribed angular range. <P>SOLUTION: A foldable portable terminal device 30 has a first enclosure 32 having a display part 11, a second enclosure 34 having an operation part 16, and a coupling part 36, and the first enclosure is arranged on the second enclosure so as to cover the operation part in a close state and is coupled with the second enclosure turnably around the coupling part having an axial line perpendicular to a surface having the operation part thereon, and the display part can be exposed in both of the close state and the open state. The foldable portable terminal device 30 has a position detection part 46 for detecting a turning position of the first enclosure and a control part 42 for performing such control that a guide display 60 indicating the direction in which the first enclosure can be turned is outputted to the display part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
