<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system capable of eliminating the need of changes such as an increase in the area of a hoistway and a reduction in the size of a car. <P>SOLUTION: An inside air guide duct 13 tilted from the outside to the inside is formed at the rear of the car 1, and a storage space part 14 for storing a main circuit control device 7 is formed by the inside air guide duct 13.
