PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the quickening of the data transfer of the proprietary storage area (user's home directory) of a target account and the reduction of the load on a controller such as a host computer according to the movement of an account. SOLUTION: This storage device system is provided with a storage device and a controller. The storage device is provided with an interface for connecting the storage device through a communication line to the storage device of the other storage device system and a remote copy module for transferring predetermined data to the other storage device system without using the controller based on a data transfer instruction from a control part. The controller is provided with a remote copy control module for, at the time of receiving the movement notification of the attributes of an account from an account monitoring module for monitoring the movement of the attributes of the account, transferring a data transfer instruction to transfer predetermined data to the other storage device system to the remote copy module without using the controller.
