PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tiling display device which utilizes organic EL display panels improved in contrast by a black matrix, is high in grade and has inconspicuous boundaries. SOLUTION: The black matrix 64 is formed on a substrate 66 for sealing commonly disposed for a plurality of the display panels 60 so as to exist on the boundaries 68 of the plurality of the display panels 60. The display panels 60 are constituted by successively laminating anode electrodes 20, organic EL layers 26R, 26G and 26B and cathode electrodes on the substrate 10. Thin-film transistors are formed on the substrate 10 and the light outputted from the organic EL layers 26R, 26G and 26B is taken out of the cathode electrodes, by which the tiling display device 70 driven by an active matrix system is constituted.
