PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair rinse composition providing good combability of the hair by fingers at rinsing, and imparting moist and gloss feeling after drying, and good combability to the hair. SOLUTION: This composition contains a keratose cationized by a quaternary ammonium, an oil and fat material liquid at normal temperature, and a compound represented by formula (1) wherein R<SP>1</SP>CO is an 8-22C fatty acid residue; AO is a 2-3C oxyalkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>are each a 2-30C alkyl group; X, Y are each H or a group of formula (2); (p) and (q) are each 1 or 2; (m), (n) are each 0-5, with the provision that m+n≥5; The case in which X, Y are both the group of formula (2) is excluded, and when X is the group of formula (2), q is 1.
