PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper holder and a manuscript holder with a simple constitution and being unique into which a paper can be easily inserted as a pinching mechanism for a scratch paper and a manuscript paper, and which has excellent pinching function. SOLUTION: A paper holding tool is provided with a back face panel with opened both side ends, a surface panel, a pinching member and a gripping channel for gripping the pinching member, and furthermore, when it is used as a manuscript holder, a manuscript supporting part is extended on the back face panel, and a holder box body prepared by connecting one end sides of both panels is provided. As a preferable practicing embodiment, the paper holder and the manuscript holder are constituted in such a way that a transparent holder box body is extrusion-molded as an integral molding by using an AS resin, and one end of a colored rubber tube is gripped in the gripping channel of the transparent holder, and the other end is used as a pinching piece to press and pinch the paper (the manuscript) inserted from an inserting opening of the back face panel and the surface panel onto the surface panel.
