PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for folding a printing plate of a lithographic printing plate for folding an end part of the printing plate which facilitates mounting of the lithographic printing plate with a substrate made of a resin film, and a heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate without requiring development, and generates no thermal fogging, and a method for mounting the heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate on a printing machine using it. SOLUTION: The apparatus for folding the printing plate of the lithographic printing plate forms a folding part on the end part of the printing plate for mounting it on a plate cylinder. The apparatus has a pressing block for pressing from the underside of the plate and fixing the plate, a plate fixing block making a pair therewith, a recessed fixing upper blade adjoining the plate fixing block and provided with a heating member, and a lower blade making a pair therewith. The end part of the printing plate fixed by the pressing block and the plate fixing block is pushed into the recessed upper blade by moving the lower blade upward, and is folded by heating by the heating member.
