The locking facility provides a locking receiver (6) assigned to a fixed vehicle body part (1), the cowl (4), and a swivelling locking element (7) assigned to the convertible roof (3). The swivelling movement of the locking element (7) is influenced in such a way that the contact depth of the locking element (7) into the cowl (4), which contains the locking receiver (6), is minimized. The necessary influence is achieved by means of a compression-tension connection made up of a rod assembly or a compression-tension cable assembly.
