A person transport device for moving a person from one position to another having a body with a number of lengthwise stretched elements, a longitudinal axis, a transverse axis and a slideable endless band, where the stretched elements are directed in the direction of the transverse axis, and are hinged to each other so that the transport device can be bent round or unrolled (sic) in the direction of the longitudinal axis, so that the endless band can be rotated around the body.
