<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking apparatus with laser beam with which even in the case of changing a duty ratio, a good printing quality can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: This marking apparatus with the laser beam, is the one, in which pulse laser beam L emitted from a CO<SB>2</SB>laser 10 changes the direction with galvano-mirrors 11V, 11W and forms a laser beam spot S of the pulse laser beam on the printing objective material W through a convergent lens 11Z. The printing is performed on the printing objective material W by driving the galvano-mirrors 11V, 11W based on the printing information, such as letters to be printed and also, this apparatus is constituted so as to be adjustable to the output intensity of the pulse laser beam L emitted on the printing objective material W by changing the duty ratio of the pulse laser beam L with a duty ratio changing means for changeably setting the duty ratio of the pulse laser beam L.
