PHOSPHOR AND PLASMA DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor wherein the amount of electrostatic charge is adjusted to near 0, and a plasma display device preventing deterioration of brightness, color temperature and discharge characteristic using the same. SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge of the phosphor is adjusted to≤±0.01μC/g by depositing a compound which adjusts the electrostatic charge on the surface of the charged phosphor via a strong chemical bond to coat the phosphor and prevent adsorption of gas impurities onto the phosphor at driving. This constitution solves important problems accompanying the plasma display device such as brightness reduction of the phosphor, color shift when driving a panel and brightness reduction when displaying a totally white screen.
