PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector in which an occupied area on a printed-circuit board can be reduced although it is mounted together with an electronic component, and a user can select the electronic component. SOLUTION: A socket 1 is provided with a connector instrument body 2 and a plurality of contacts 4 retained by the connector instrument body 2. Each contact 4 has a terminal piece 4c connected to the printed circuit board 3 by a solder 5, and has a coupling piece 4b in which the connector instrument body 2 is floated from the printed circuit board 3 and supported. Furthermore, a leg part 2b to support the connector instrument body 2 on the printed circuit board 3 is installed at the connector instrument body 2. The socket 1 of the structure is mounted on the printed-circuit board 3 in the form that a sheet-formed capacitor 6 is arranged between the connector instrument body 2 and the printed-circuit board 3.
