PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction transmission belt of low noise even without using short fiber. SOLUTION: The friction belt B transmits power in such a way that a belt main part 10 is wound as in contact with a pulley. At least a pulley contact part 12 out of the main part 10 is made of a rubber component which is made of ethylene-α-olefine elastomer, not less than 80 less than 95 in rubber hardness measured with a type A durometer in accordance with JIS K6253, not containing short fiber.
