PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and surely perform test work for pressure leakage without separately providing an O-ring and a seal member such as a seal tape for preventing pressure leakage from a threaded part, for a test plug temporarily screwed to be fixed to an attachment end of an apparatus of piping for a leakage test for the internal pressure of the piping such as water service. SOLUTION: In the threaded end 6 of the test plug 1 screwed into the attachment end 2 of the piping 3, an annular recess 8 is arranged between the position P of the base end thereof and the halfway position Q thereof, and therewith a top end of externally threaded part 5a is left between the halfway position Q and the top end position R. An elastically deformable flexibilizer material 9 is fixed to the annular recess 8, and a basic end of externally threaded part 5b matched with the top end of externally threaded part 5a is formed on the outer thereof. When screwing a threaded end 6 into the female-threaded part 4 of the attachment end 2, a long seal surface is formed including screw threads in this threaded part by the elastic deformation of the basic end of externally threaded part 5b, and then a separate seal member is made unnecessary by this sufficient seal effect.
