PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position-measuring auxiliary device for an underwater object, which measures a position of the under water object with a simple structure, and also to provide a position measurement system for the underwater object, a position measurement method for the underwater object, and a joining method of an existing submerged caisson and a newly provided submerged caisson. SOLUTION: This position-measuring auxiliary device 1 for the underwater object is installed to the newly provided submerged caisson 30 (the underwater object) and is used for indirectly measuring the position of the underwater object. The auxiliary device 1 has: an underwater buoyancy stand 10 having three points of a first point, a second point and a third point not on the same straight line and having buoyancy under the water; three first connection means respectively connecting the first point and three points a, b, c of the underwater object not on the same straight line; two second connection means respectively connecting the second point and two points d, e of the underwater object; one third connection means connecting the third point and one point f of the underwater object; and a position-measuring measurement prism 21 fixed to the underwater buoyancy stand 10.
