PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having high mountability of a first unit to a second unit. SOLUTION: This display device has the first unit A and second unit B. The first unit A has a display 21 for emitting display light L, an external light detecting element 41 for detecting illuminance of the external light and outputting illuminance data, a control means 62 for adjusting light-emitting luminance of the display 21 based on the illuminance data, and a first case body 51 for storing the display 21. The second unit B has a translucent cover 54 through which display light L goes out and a second case body 52 that has an opening 53 for supporting the translucent cover 54 and is mounted to the first case body 51.
