PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mode switching control device for a transfer capable of realizing the compatibility of ensuring a certain switch operation and enhancement of fuel economy by a reduction in a consumption energy at a shift actuator regardless of a size of friction torque of an automatic transmission. SOLUTION: The driving mode switching control device of the transfer is provided with a transfer control unit 26 for outputting a switching operation instruction of a driving mode position to the shift actuator when a predetermined switching condition including the condition that the automatic transmission 2 is at a neutral range position is satisfied. A friction torque presumption means for presuming the friction torque when the automatic transmission 2 is at the neutral range position is provided. The transfer control unit 26 is made to a means for setting switching operation torque instructing against the shift actuator by variation torque corresponding to the presumed friction torque at switching between a high mode position and a low mode position.
