PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swivel chair with a footrest allowing a seat occupant to take an easy sitting posture by utilizing the footrest if the occupant is a small child or small-built person or by lowering the footrest to prevent the footrest from being an obstacle if the occupant is a large-built person or gown-up child, and capable of preventing a leg part or the footrest from injuring a desk, etc. if they collide with the desk, etc. SOLUTION: A spindle 6 is erected at the center of a plurality of radially disposed support legs 5, and a telescopic and rotatable gas cylinder is interiorly mounted on the spindle to constitute the leg part 1. A seat part 2 is mounted on the upper end part of the gas cylinder projecting upward from the spindle, and the height of the seat part can be adjusted relative to the leg part. The footrest 4 is attached to the spindle. In the swivel chair with this structure, the footrest has a plurality of support arms 8 radially extended diagonally downward from a support cylinder 7 which is exteriorly mounted on the spindle to be fixed at an upper or lower prescribed position, and a ring-shaped footrest part 9 is attached to the tips of the support arms.
