The invention concerns (meth)acrylic acid copolymers comprising methacrylic acid units and isopropanol units, the polymer being functionalized with aminoalkylsulphonic acid. The invention also concerns a method for producing said copolymers and their use for water treatment, for scale inhibition in oil drilling and for corrosion inhibition in aqueous systems.
