The pipe connection uses a metal pressure fitting (1) having a rolled section (2) at one end receiving a sealing element (6) and a cylindrical section (3) which is indented to provide a stop edge for the end face of an inserted pipe end. The pressure fitting is secured to the inserted pipe end via a pressure tool with at least 2 pressure plates, acting on both the rolled section with the inserted sealing element and the cylindrical section. The annular gap (9) between the inside face of the pressure fitting and the mantle surface of the pipe end is closed by a sealing ring cap (11) fitted to the pipe end (10).
