A papermaking machine has a drum with an axle rotating about an axis (16) in a bearing (34) powered by an electric motor (18) with a hollow shaft. The motor has a stator that is fixed and a moving rotor (20). The rotor is separated from the stator (22) by a radial air gap (27) and coupled to the drum (10). The bearing (24) is inclined (16') towards the axis of rotation (16). Both the stator and bearing are jointly free to incline in an orthogonal axis (A1).
