PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithographic printing master to simplify an on-press treatment in a dry lithographic printer or a customary wet offset printer having an integrated ink/dampening water supply unit. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the lithographic printing master comprises the steps of preparing an image forming material having a hydrophilic surface and a lithographic base having a non-melt removable image recording layer capable of being removed in a single fluid ink or being removed in the single fluid ink by an exposure with a heat or a light, exposing the image recording layer as the heat or the light, and supplying the single fluid ink of an emulsion of an ink phase and a non-water base polar phase to the image recording layer to treat the material. Using of the single fluid ink as the treating fluid is a simple and convenient method for on-press treating of the material. |
