PURPOSE: A recording medium, a recording device, and a recording method are provided to record interlayer fold position information when a recording layer is switched over or the switch-over is predicted, before a disk close or a session close step, thereby perceiving correct interlayer fold position information. CONSTITUTION: In each recording layer, a data area for recording/reproducing main data, a preceding area formed prior to the data area, and an end area formed next to the data area are configured. If a recording value of any of the recording layers reaches a maximum recording range, or a data recording is switched to a next recording layer from any of the recording layers, an area is formed to record interlayer fold position information which shows the switched position.
